Our Commitment to Safety & Sustainability

What property managers need to know about who 78-Clean puts in their buildings — and how we keep them, your residents, and your property safe.

Why this matters to property managers

When you hire a cleaning company, you're giving them unsupervised access to your building, your residents, and in many cases sensitive areas of your property. The screening, training, and safety standards of the people behind that company aren't a footnote — they're one of the most important factors in the vendor relationship.

78-Clean takes that responsibility seriously. Here's exactly what we do.

Screening and orientation

Every 78-Clean applicant undergoes a thorough creening process before hire. A satisfactory screening is a non-negotiable condition of employment — no exceptions.

Once hired, every employee completes a formal orientation program covering:

Company standards and policies

Company policies, rules, and procedures · Employee Handbook review · Organizational structure · Quality assurance and customer satisfaction standards

Safety and security

Emergency procedures and security protocols · Sexual harassment policy · Accident prevention and reporting · First responder situation identification and use of 78-Clean First Aid Kits

Technical skills

Cleaning techniques and enhancement · Surface-specific procedures · Equipment operation and maintenance

Our crews don't enter your building until they have completed this process in full.

Ongoing safety training

Orientation is the beginning, not the end. Every 78-Clean employee is required to complete ongoing safety training programs covering:

Safe work practices · General and specific safety procedures · Accident prevention and reporting · First responder situation identification · Proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Our safety-trained leadership team conducts on-site safety training, random inspections, and is available 24/7 for support and direction. Monthly supervisor visits to every active account provide an additional layer of quality oversight beyond the day-to-day crew.

Sustainability commitments

78-Clean is committed to the safety of our workers, our clients' building occupants, and the environment.

Environmentally responsible products and equipment

We use a wide variety of environmentally-friendly solvents and eco-friendly cleaning equipment — minimizing chemical exposure for building residents, particularly important in preschool environments, senior communities, and buildings with health-sensitive populations.

EPA Lead-Safe certified

78-Clean is a certified EPA Lead-Safe firm — an important credential for any cleaning company working in Greater Boston's older prewar building stock, where lead paint remains a real consideration in building maintenance.

Green Seal certified products

We use Green Seal certified cleaning products — independently verified to meet rigorous environmental and health standards. Green Seal certification means the products we use in your building are effective, safe, and environmentally responsible.

Resource efficiency

We utilize technologies that allow us to monitor and improve our resource efficiency and minimize waste across our operations.

Equal opportunity employer

78-Clean is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse, professional, and conscientious workforce. We believe that a diverse team brings multiple perspectives to the challenges of facility management — and that commitment to diversity makes us better at what we do.
